“Comprimidos” was my first Soundtrack done 100% with electronic music – with the exception of a piano that I distorted to 6 bits, imitating the sound it would make if it were coming out of a screen/television. This distortion was like compressing the music and reinforcing the message of the futuristic plot. A part from the music, I also created the Sound Design that was in concordance with the music, which, despite not being in the soundtrack, has very “musical” sound effects, both rhythmically and in its form of creation with synthesizers.
This short film was also my first approach to the sci-fi genre. A project produced in ECCIT (Escola Catalana de Cinema i Televisió) written and directed by Laura García.
